Our Belleville Practice’s Approach

When you visit our Vein Disorder practice, you will experience a high-level of patient care. Our goal is to provide you with proper treatment and diagnosis in a comfortable and professional environment.

To diagnose varicose veins, your doctor will do a physical exam, including looking at your legs while you’re standing to check for swelling. Your doctor may also ask you to describe any pain and aching in your legs.

We believe that exceptional care is obtained when an ongoing relationship is had between a patient and vein specialist. To help relieve your pain and provide you with the appropriate treatments, we listen to your questions, concerns and help educate you on the best ways to manage you disorder.

Vein Disorders We Treat

Vein disorders also called venous insufficiency are medical conditions that occur when a person’s veins are unable to properly transport blood from the legs back to the heart.

Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT)
This disorder happens when a blood clot forms in a large vein. These clots are usually found in the lower leg, thigh or pelvis.

Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
A PE occurs when some or all of the blood clot breaks off and travels to the lungs.

Chronic Venous Disease (CVD)
Chronic conditions caused by veins that become diseased or abnormal are referred to as chronic venous disease (CVD). They are easily noticed by cosmetic symptoms.

Lymphedema
Lymphedema is a swelling or lymphatic obstruction in the lymph vessels that drain fluid from tissues throughout the body and allow immune cells to travel where they are needed. They are often caused by the removal of your lymph nodes as part of a cancer treatment.

Compression Therapy
To help increase blood flow activity to the lower limbs and support your veins and circulation in your legs, doctors recommend compression therapy. This is done through wearing socks or stockings that are designed specifically for this treatment.
