Rajesh (Raj) Sharma joins Riverside from New York Presbyterian Hospital where he served as Chief Physician Assistant for Orthopaedic Surgery for the past four and a half years. At NYP, Raj trained and managed a team of Physician Assistants who provided quality patient care within the emergency room, operating room, and hospital floors, following and exceeding best practice guidelines.
Raj began his career at a private practice in Southern New Jersey where he spent ten years independently seeing patients and first assisting Orthopaedic trauma, joint replacement and sports medicine surgeries. He then moved to Northern New Jersey where he worked in a similar capacity at a multidisciplinary Orthopaedic institute for two and a half years.
Raj graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. A lifelong learner, he then obtained his Master of Health Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Raj has extensive experience in fracture care, joint reductions, and with shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle aspirations and injections. Raj provides high-quality, patient-centered care to all patients and members of the community.
