Richard W. Marcus, M.D. is a pediatrician from our Nutley Pediatric office. Dr. Marcus attended Rutgers College from 1973-1977, to achieve his undergraduate degree. The following year, Dr. Marcus went to New Jersey Medical School from 1978-1982. In 1982, Dr. Marcus began his residency, and completed it in 1985. Dr. Marcus has a fellowship with Fellow American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Marcus has experience with his own practice in 1985 and Riverside. Dr. Marcus is board certified. He received numerous awards such as: Best Doctor of New Jersey, Best Kids Doctor of New Jersey, Castle Connolly Top Doctor, and lastly New York Metro Area. Dr. Marcus is also a Clinical Professor for the following: Rutgers- New jersey Medical School Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine Pediatrics, and University of New England College of osteopathic Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Marcus has a strong belief in management of medical conditions such as ADHD and Asthma.
Dr. Marcus is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He is married with two children. Dr. Marcus enjoys boating, ocean kayaking and horse-back riding. Dr. Marcus says he a whiz in the kitchen or in front of a BBQ.
Children and families should have a medical home. When children with medical problems have care directed by specialist, care can be confusing and redundant. Proper coordination through a medical home can improve efficiency, communication and understanding.
