Location: Secaucus

Dr. Iyad Baker is proud to care for Riverside Medical Group's Bergen County patients in our Secaucus location.  He combines a very impressive educational and training background with a deep-seeded passion for extending the best and most comprehensive care for his adult patients, keeping in line with the tradition of Riverside Medical Group as the premiere primary care group in Northern New Jersey. Dr. Baker also cares for children with Riverside Pediatric Group.  In addition, Dr. Baker is Riverside Medical Group's Chief Medical Officer.

After graduating from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2003, Dr. Baker received his M.D. from the American University of Antigua in 2008.  He then proceeded to complete his Family Practice Residency at the Hoboken University Medical Center, here in northern New Jersey.  Dr. Baker is remembered as one of the most stellar products the program has ever produced, as he is the only graduate to have served as the esteemed Chief Resident two years in a row.  This highly-regarded recognition is bolstered by his receipt of "Family Practice Resident of the Year" in 2010. In the year prior to joining RMG, Dr. Baker was responsible for helping to train and educate many medical students and residents in the field of Family Medicine.  Riverside Medical Group is honored to have him as a member of our team.

Dr. Baker cares for adult patients in our Ridgefield Park location 6 days/week, Monday thru Saturday.  When asked to describe his approach to patient care, he explains, "I approach the patient as a whole.  As we get older, more and more of our medical issues are due to several factors - lifestyle, and otherwise - and therefore, it is critical for me as the healthcare provider to respect this complexity and provide the patient not only with cures for their ailments, but also a plan on how to lead a life that will prevent such ailments in the future.  To care for someone's child, father, mother, or grandparent is one of the greatest responsibilities I can imagine having, and I embrace it with the utmost seriousness and care".
