LEARNING TO LIVE WITH DIABETES
Diabetes affects nearly 30 million children and adults in the U.S. today – nearly 10% of the population. Having Diabetes doubles the risk for heart attack and for death from heart disease. The American Diabetes Association estimates that 1 in 3 adults will have Diabetes by 2050 unless we take steps to prevent this disease.
Attend a free workshop conducted by a registered dietitian. Learn about diabetes etiology, types of diabetes, obesity and comorbity risks, symptoms of diabetes, the health impact of diabetes and diabetes prevention and management. Patients are given meal plans, portion guides, and free samples. Learn how to live with diabetes and prevent complications!
